Before you start
How do I convert Nether portal coordinates?
From the Overworld to the Nether, divide X and Z by eight and round down. In the reverse direction, multiply them by eight. The calculator shows the selected direction.
Should I divide the Y coordinate by eight?
No. Height is not scaled. Choose a safe height yourself: coordinate conversion does not check lava, empty space, or terrain.
Does this guarantee that two portals will link?
No. Nearby portals and the game’s search rules can affect linking. This is a coordinate conversion, not a simulation of every portal in your world.
